Pre Christmas fun

Sunday after mass we took the kids to have beignets for breakfast.  5 & 6 had never had them, and of course they loved them!

6 finally got moved to a forward facing car seat.  He was so excited to see where we were going!

We went to Lafrenier Park to see Al Copeland's lights in all their glory.  It was really cold and felt like Christmas was coming!

For our first Fun Friday Activity in December, we went to Posh Paint Pub and painted our own ornaments.  We included our favorite neighbors and had a really good time. These are the neighbors ornaments, as ours are already on the tree.

Today we are headed to watch 2 play baseball, then out on the town for our Fun Friday.  I thought a ride on the Christmas Train at the mall might be fun, but was assured by 1&2 that they were WAY too old for that.

Thanksgiving

Ok I know I'm not as good with my camera as some other bloggers out there, but I am strictly attempting to jog my memory with these photos, so here we go:

Decorate an indian with 4, a traditional PK experience.

For me, this tradition includes a trouble maker to complicate things.
Next was the traditional Thanksgiving feast of cheese or turkey sandwiches with sides of apples and grapes followed by a cupcake, of course.
The Indians arrived in their costumes and immediately strip because they are too uncomfortable.

We do manage to get it back on for a quick picture before they run off to play in the yard.
At home, Taylor dons her costume, which makes it a fun thing to wear.
So they trade and insist that I take another picture.
And how could we take pictures without including 5?
Haley and Taylor are asking 6 who is his favorite... The answer is always whoever will feed me:)
Here we are on Thanksgiving day right before we head out to family party #1. Our little indians all in a row. (practicing for the christmas card)

HNJ Fair Weekend

Okay, so I'm way behind. I am catching up one event at a time...starting with the fair weekend. The kids didn't have school on Friday, so our fun friday activity was to make ice cream sundaes with what ever toppings they wanted on them. They really enjoyed posing with their bowls for me.

We went to the fair shortly after we finished our ice cream and met up with 1 and his friend Kel, who had spent the day together. They quickly decided to imitate mom, who had an adult drink band for the weekend.

The next day we had last soccer games of the season. Of course there was a trophy ceremony afterwards.
Here is 4 getting her trophy with 3 looking on from the ground. 3 got her trophy too.
Here they are with their team.

We left the soccer fields and headed back to the fair. Mike rode with 2 and his friend, Ellis. They had a really good tme squishing him.

5 & 6 enjoyed the fair too.
Sunday morning we went to mass. This is how we try to keep 5 quiet...

Of course we headed back to the fair where 3 & 4 got their faces painted.

Monday was another holiday from school, so we filled our time with fun thanksgiving crafts to decorate our bedroom doors. Im no Martha, but I think our hand and feet turkeys turned out pretty cute!

Then, as we were finishing up, Batman arrived!
and another Batman!
It was our neighbors/oldest children/favorite babysitters who were excited to show Peter that they had Batman costumes too.
